Michael Eisenberg

Michael Eisenberg is a senior researcher and lecturer in the Zinman Institute of Archaeology and Department of Archaeology at the University of Haifa, Israel. He completed his PhD at the University of Haifa in 2009. He is Classical period archaeologist with a rich field experience. He published articles and books focusing on Hellenistic–Umayyad archaeology and military architecture of the Hellenistic and Roman worlds. He is directing the on-going excavation project of Hippos-Sussita of the Decapolis
