Historical Geography in Czechia: Themes and Concepts

Eva Semotanová is a historical geographer and historical cartographer with particular focus on interpretation of old maps, history of cartography, and the study of historical landscapes, who works as a professor at the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, and is the head of The Historical Geography Research Centre.

Pavel Chromý is a historical, cultural and regional geographer with particular focus on processes of regional formation and territorial identities, who works as an associated professor at the Charles University, Faculty of Science, Prague, where he is the head of The Research Centre for Cultural and Historical Geography.

Zdeněk Kučera is a historical, cultural and regional geographer with particular focus on cultural transformations of landscapes and settlement, heritage and identities, especially in mountain and rural areas, who works as an assistant professor at the Charles University, Faculty of Science, Prague.
